At Hall and Butterfield Family Dentistry, we’re experts at solving problems. But day in and day out, our goal is to avoid dental emergencies and promote oral health with the best routine care around. We encourage our patients of all ages to schedule regular cleanings and checkups twice a year.
At our office, there are two main components to providing the best routine care for the whole family: the knowledge, experience and compassion of our staff, along with the latest in oral care technology.
As most of our patients know, our doctors are the best. But it’s hard to overstate the importance of an excellent dental hygienist. At Hall and Butterfield Family Dentistry, our experienced hygienists are a key part of our practice, with a focus on preventive care and creating and maintaining good dental habits in every stage of life.
When it comes to routine care, hygienists play a major role. Here are just a few of the important tasks our skilled hygienists take on every day:
- Reviewing patient history and going over concerns
- Taking X-rays
- Performing routine cleanings and providing preventive care, including sealants and fluoride
- Recommending take-home options like rinses, specialized toothbrushes and beyond
- Talking with patients about good oral care–from brushing and flossing to good nutrition for oral health
Our hygienists Amy and Donna have been with our practice for years and are known and loved by our patients–both for their people skills and for their technical knowledge. They are thorough, professional and caring. With their many years of training and experience, our hygienists are experts at providing preventive care. They are also skilled listeners and advisors for all of our patients.
Another element that setsHall and Butterfield Family Dentistry apart in terms of routine care is using the best technology for cleaning and diagnosis.
Our clean, modern office and top-notch cleaning technology allow us to treat patients efficiently and effectively. We have also made the switch to digital X-rays, allowing us to provide faster and better diagnoses to our patients. Digital X-rays are quick and can be viewed immediately after being taken, saving time for our doctors and patients. They also offer high-quality imaging for better detection of early decay–which can make treatment easier and less expensive. Images can be easily sharpened and magnified, giving our dentists a better picture of your dental health. Finally, digital X-rays are safer for patients, with a much lower level of radiation exposure than traditional film X-rays.
